Dan and I hiked through the Mogollon Rim, north of Payson, AZ. It was a beautiful sunny day, around 85 degrees. Here is a photo of a cactus's flower growing up through some rocks.
Nala was a happy dog after we played outside. She is tired out!
Summer is coming, the vincas are blooming! This is a photo of a pot on our back porch but I can pretend that I took it in Italy...I love the contrast of textures of the pot and wall.
Growing up, I used to play in the dirt outside all summer long, often with no shoes. I'd romp with friends through the woods, making forts and "dirt soup". My dad would carry me upstairs at the end of the day to wash my blackened feet in the bathtub.
I still like to play in the dirt. I love gardening and have taken that passion to the next level - capturing creation with a camera.
Desert in Bloom
