It has been a hot fall this year, with way too many record high temperatures. But thankfully my roses are doing well! Here are some pictures of the first fall bloom.

Growing up, I used to play in the dirt outside all summer long, often with no shoes. I'd romp with friends through the woods, making forts and "dirt soup". My dad would carry me upstairs at the end of the day to wash my blackened feet in the bathtub.
I still like to play in the dirt. I love gardening and have taken that passion to the next level - capturing creation with a camera.

I long to have your backyard and I agree that Arizona is beautiful, albeit not when it is 115.
