Yesterday the weather was beautiful, so Dan and I worked outside. Dan scalped the yard and over seeded it (it's an Arizona thing, if you want more detail let me know), while I worked in the garden.
I marked out lines for the different beds I want to plant, and also to show where the flagstone path will go. The roses are starting to bloom again!!
Flowers... working in your garden...I am super jealous of your hot Arizona weather! It's already super cold up here. I think it's gonna snow soon... I only like snow when I am playing in it but then I want to go home at the end of the weekend and enjoy sunshine. I really don't like to shovel my car out of the snow. Ugh!
Growing up, I used to play in the dirt outside all summer long, often with no shoes. I'd romp with friends through the woods, making forts and "dirt soup". My dad would carry me upstairs at the end of the day to wash my blackened feet in the bathtub.
I still like to play in the dirt. I love gardening and have taken that passion to the next level - capturing creation with a camera.
